The national music therapy conference is finally here! This year the American Music Therapy Association is holding the conference in St. Charles, Illinois just outside if Chicago. I can’t wait to get there to hug and high five all my music therapy friends and colleagues all across the US and to hopefully meet many new ones along the way!
This conference is going to be extra special because I will be presenting, “There’s an App for That: The iPad in Music Therapy” on Friday from 5-6pm. I’m super excited about this presentation because I’ve presented on the iPad via Skype, regional conference, online-CMTE, online conference and now I get to present at the national level. I have tons of apps to share including a few of my favorites that I have yet to even blog about! (maybe soon?) =) You won’t want to miss this fun and interactive presentation with plenty of demos and even an iPad band!
Besides presenting I will also be hanging out at the Music Therapy Ed booth in the exhibit hall with the curator of the online learning site, Kat, and my fellow instructors, Nat, Janice, Jamie Meganne, Anita and Natasha promoting our online CMTE courses AND reminding folks to enter to win the MTed grand prize giveaway worth over $2000! Can’t attend conference this year? NO WORRIES! Kat is also doing a contest online for those folks who can’t attend! Awesome, right?!
