
Individual Music Therapy Services
We provide weekly 30, 45 or 60-minute music therapy services to individuals in our studio or your home. We work with children, teens and adults of all abilities and needs including developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, fragile x, ADD, ADHD, PDD-NOS, learning delays, cognitive delays, speech delays, vision impairments, hearing impairments and more to address a variety of goal areas including but not limited to:
- Communication
- Impulse control
- Motor planning
- Socialization
- Emotional expression
Group Music Therapy Services
We provide group services in our studio or your facility. No matter the group, we are equipped to support the needs of the group members and add value to the menu of programming you offer. Our group services include:
- 45- 60 minute groups weekly, bi-weekly or monthly
- Musical themes including LIVE and recorded age-appropriate songs
- Instrument playing, singing, movement, and cognitive engagement
- Goal-oriented outcomes like communication development and socialization
IEP Music Therapy Services
Our team of board-certified music therapists are experts in supporting students with music therapy as a related service on their individualized education plan. Music therapy is a viable educational support IEP goals like:
- Cognitive goals like identifying numbers, colors, and letters
- Counting, telling time, and calendar concepts
- Behavioral goals like self-regulation, attention, and focus
- Communication goals like answering Wh questions
- Life skills goals like grooming, appropriate manners, and safety
School Services
The Groovy Garfoose provides 30-45 minute group sessions throughout the school year. We believe music therapy should be accessible to every child no matter their ability or need and is a viable support for achieving educational goals like:
- Following directions
- Fine and gross motor development
- Expressing feelings
- Taking turns
- Joint attention
Hospice Services
In the hospice setting, music therapy is a non-invasive and compassionate support for patients and their families to approach death and dying with dignity regardless of their musical preferences, cultural or spiritual background for:
- Reducing pain
- Relaxation
- Emotional expression
- Decreasing anxiety
- Life review
Seniors and Assisted Living Services
Music Therapy is a non-invasive, person-centered approach to improve quality of life and address mental health needs of older adults in nursing homes, longer term care facilities, assisted livings and senior centers. Music therapy services can add value to your adult programming by:

- Increasing social engagement
- Improving orientation to time and place
- Increasing physical participation
- Fostering reminiscence
Glee Club
Glee Club is an adapted music program custom designed for individuals with disabilities. Our board-certified music therapists collaborate with 7-12 teens and adults over 5 weeks to prepare them for a final performance jam-packed with:
- Adapted sign language
- Choreography
- Instrument playing
- Singing
- Teamwork
Summer Camp
We are proud to offer one of the only Creative Arts Camps for special needs teens and adults of all ages and abilities in Northeast Ohio. Our camp team curates original camp curriculum each Summer. Past camp themes have included:

Early Childhood Services
Music Makers is a one of kind early childhood music class designed by our founder Bonnie Hayhurst. Each 30-minute class is chock full of LIVE music including original and familiar songs that engage children ages 0-5 years old to:
- Learn colors, numbers, shapes, and letters
- Share with other children
- Vocalize, babble, talk, and sing
- Socialize with other children
- Learn to follow directions
