Glee Club Adapted Programming

Inspired by the TV show GLEE that took the country by storm, Bonnie Hayhurst collaborated with Jim Meadows at The Lake Metroparks to create Glee Club, an adapted program for teens and adults with special needs. Ten years later, Glee Club is now a Groovy Garfoose phenomenon being offered across Northeast Ohio in Lake County, Solon, Independence, Hudson, Akron, and Wadsworth.

Glee Club is custom designed for individuals with disabilities. Our board-certified music therapists collaborate with 7-12 teens and adults over 5 weeks to learn sign language, create choreography, play instruments and sing to chart-topping pop songs. The program culminates in a performance for friends and family on the final day of class.
